Future Skills Centre

Future Skills Centre is a national funder and catalyst with a focus on how best to prepare Canadians today for workforce opportunities of the future. Founded by a consortium of partners - Toronto Metropolitan University, Blueprint, and Conference Board of Canada - and is funded by the Government of Canada's Future Skills Program.

Issues related to ‘Quality of Work’ have been identified in connection to the capacity of employment, as poor quality of work is found to negatively impact labor market participation, employment retention, poverty, and optimization of human capital.

Purpose Co was contracted to identify trends, priorities and pain points related to Quality of Work issues and opportunities in the Canadian economy and build a connection between stakeholders and FSC’s Quality of Work agenda. The work includes providing technical support as needed and assisting with knowledge mobilization among the Quality of Work researchers and external stakeholders to inform FSC’s direction regarding Quality of Work initiatives. This project will also include a triangulated analysis from the Quality of Work research portfolio to shape and inform strategy and roadmap.
